I was asked to design a paper toy of the Honda Fit that can be folded from one sheet of letter-sized paper. It had been a really long time since I worked on any technical illustration, so this was a perfect opportunity for me to get a refresh. I took full advantage of it by going as far as I could with details. Actually, I found it kind of challenging to simplify it to a boxy cut out, but after some planning, everything went smooth and swell. I'm satisfied with the project.
I want to thank my tech illustration teachers at Sheridan College, Doug Donald and Ian Stewart, for giving our class a project on paper engineering. It probably would've taken me twice as long to do this project without that training. Thanks again!
Ugh... This blog is sooo ugly... For some reason it won't set up the same way my personal blog is set up, even though the code is the exact same. Please bear with me while I spend some time doing a new template...
